The Mockers

"Forever Tuesday Morning" (1984)

The Mockers were a wonderful band from (Wellington, then later Auckland) New Zealand. The lead singer was an amazing fellow named Andrew Fagan, who also did the majority of the writing. He's still quite active in NZ music. Famed NZ record producer Glyn Tucker Jr (a good friend) was the man behind the scenes.

The Mockers had some really great songs which charted on the NZ charts in 1983-1985, including the timeless "Forever Tuesday Morning", and I had the pleasure to be involved with them (that's me you hear on the high harmonies on FTM). We had the good fortune to reach #2 on the charts... but the bad fortune to not reach #1. It turned out that Band-Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?" pipped us at the post.

Here it is, on YouTube.com (Bill Millay's on the recording but is not seen in the video).
